Stop creditor harassment by cease and desist
Thanks to the Fair Trade Commissions we consumer now have more rights when it comes to creditor collection practices. The tactics that these collector use are absolutely abusive and uncalled for. The Fair Debt Collections Privacy Act gives use the ammunition that we need to bring these harassers a taste of their own medicine. The best way to stop this harassment is by writing up a cease and desist letter which is a legal way to stop the unwanted harassment. Once the collector receives this letter they are no longer able to contact the consumer. The letter does not stop the collector from moving forward with a law suit but it will stop the harassment. The creditors have 30 days to comply with the letter or the debt will not be validated and will be discharged. Below is a letter that can be used for any consumer.
